Rare Medicine Bottle Bottoms - Aqua & Sea Foam Duo

 A beautiful duo of medicine bottle bottoms: one large, rare aqua with a unique oval shape, and one classic sea foam, round, and nearly flawless. Both are exceptionally worn and full of character, with the large aqua being particularly rare. Found in Prince Edward Island 1-2 years ago, this pair makes a lovely addition to any avid collector’s display.

You may notice a difference in the texture, frost, and overall appearance between my PEI and Newfoundland beach finds. Prince Edward Island sea glass tends to have lighter frost because the waves are gentler, the shorelines are mostly soft sand, and the water is less abrasive. Newfoundland sea glass is usually much more frosted because the coastline is rocky, the surf is stronger, and the glass is tumbled far more aggressively.

The pH of the water also plays a role. PEI’s slightly less acidic waters create softer weathering, while Newfoundland’s more acidic and mineral-rich waters etch the glass more deeply, giving it that signature heavy frost.
