I created this one-of-a-kind suncatcher using a beautiful piece of driftwood and large chunks of genuine sea glass in rich shades of Caribbean blue, teal, and emerald. Each piece of sea glass is hand-wrapped by me in rose gold-colored wire and suspended from warm copper chain links, forming a striking V-shaped cascade.
The finished piece measures 68 cm wide and 42 cm long from the driftwood to the tip of the glass, with an additional 31 cm of hanging chain so 73cm in length. When the sunlight shines through, the copper glows and the sea glass comes alive with depth and brilliance, shifting from bright ocean blues to deep emerald greens.
This is one of my larger statement suncatchers, and it truly captures the feeling of sunlight dancing across the sea.
Whether displayed against a window, where the magic of the sunlight shines through, or hung as a statement piece on a wall, this suncatcher brings coastal charm and tranquility to any space.
S-hooks or other materials can be used to lengthen its reach, depending on where you'd like to suspend it.
