Eau de Jardin - Sea Treasure Frame
Eau de Jardin - Sea Treasure Frame
"Eau de Jardin" (Water of the Garden)
This art deco inspired frame takes even more inspiration from the delicate connection between water, flowers, and the essence of a garden in bloom. At its heart lies a rare tiny cobalt blue antique perfume stopper, found on the shores of Prince Edward Island in 2016. This unique treasure symbolizes the timeless allure of perfume, often called eau in French—a word that means both water and the fragrant essence captured in a bottle.
The vibrant colors of sea glass and sea pottery—yellow, pink, and cobalt blue—evoke the beauty of a flourishing garden, with the cobalt blue glass representing the water that nourishes the flowers. A cobalt blue pottery shard with a perfectly preserved blue flower stands out, further symbolizing the garden's water and its role in sustaining life and beauty.
The centerpiece of the frame is a strikingly delicate pottery shard with hues of yellow, green, and pink, set amidst the textured beauty of sea glass. Together, these elements create a harmonious composition that celebrates the perfume of the garden—its flowers, its water, and the stories woven into its soil.
Displayed in a white shadowbox frame, Eau de Jardin invites you to imagine the aroma and tranquility of a sunlit garden after a gentle rain.

♡ Great gift idea! Perfect for the cottage or sea-themed wedding.
It's winter in Prince Edward Island so my newly made sea treasure frames are filled with a combination of new and old finds. My beach-combing collection goes back more than 20 years and even longer for my Mom. I like to rummage through her collection and oftentimes I find shards from the same vessel found years apart.
This frame is filled with real hand-collected sea treasures, not a print.
These colours are considered a rare found objects and each frame has the equivalent of months of collecting along the ocean coast.
Great gift idea! Perfect for the cottage or sea-themed wedding.
Please note* some of the shards have been smoothed mainly to remove rust/dirt and the odd sharp edge. This allows the colours and patterns to pop!
Sea Glass Origins: Genuine sea glass and sea pottery originate from fragments of broken bottles, tableware, or even shipwrecks, which are gradually tumbled by the ocean over many years. This natural process can take between 50 to 100 years, during which the fragments are smoothed into their characteristic rounded shapes and the glass acquires a distinctive frosted appearance, resulting from the gradual erosion of its original sheen.
The sea treasures are real therefore they may have minor imperfections and a slightly irregular shape.
