I love when my finds seem to speak to me and suddenly a story begins to unfold.

An antique pocket watch marks six o’clock, that curious hour when the day begins to surrender to evening and the ordinary world seems just a little closer to the extraordinary. In Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland the Mad Hatter’s watch is caught in a world where time itself has gone awry and here too the hour invites us to wonder whether time is truly ours to keep.

A tiny garnet marks the passing hours while delicate sea urchin spines serve as the clock hands. Nearby a weathered key hints at something long forgotten while an old English maker’s mark bearing a little teapot recalls the whimsy of an impossible tea party. Fragments of rose-red pottery, teal and cobalt treasures, violet shells and golden sea glass come together in a palette as unusual and curious as Wonderland itself.

Each piece has travelled its own path before finding its place here, gathered like scattered clues to a story yet untold. Perhaps the key opens a door that no longer exists or perhaps the watch is waiting for someone who has lost their way.

After all in Wonderland time never quite behaves, ordinary things become extraordinary and the most curious discoveries are often the ones we never knew we were searching for.

You will receive the exact frame and treasures shown in the pictures. Some of my other frames are made to order and some are what you see so please read full descriptions or ask me.

Dimensions: 10" x 10" Inch square white frame with a glass cover- inner sea glass section is 5"x5". Perfect for the cottage or sea-themed wedding.

It's fall here in Prince Edward Island so my newly made sea treasure frames are filled with a combination of new and old finds. My beach-combing collection goes back more than 20 years and even longer for my Mom. I like to rummage through her collection and oftentimes I find shards from the same vessel found years apart.

This frame is filled with real hand-collected sea treasures, not a print.

These colours are considered a rare found objects and each frame has the equivalent of months of collecting along the ocean coast.

Great gift idea! Perfect for the cottage or sea-themed wedding.

Please note* some of the shards have been smoothed mainly to remove rust/dirt and the odd sharp edge. This allows the colours and patterns to pop!

Sea Glass Origins: Genuine sea glass and sea pottery originate from fragments of broken bottles, tableware, or even shipwrecks, which are gradually tumbled by the ocean over many years. This natural process can take between 50 to 100 years, during which the fragments are smoothed into their characteristic rounded shapes and the glass acquires a distinctive frosted appearance, resulting from the gradual erosion of its original sheen.

The sea treasures are real therefore they may have minor imperfections and a slightly irregular shape.

Please note all pictures before purchasing.

Satisfied customers are expected, any questions before or after your purchase please contact me.
